Enhancing My Skills with the Microsoft Educator Academy

Recently, I completed the Microsoft Educator Academy, which consisted of six modules and took about six hours to finish. I found this experience incredibly valuable, as it provided essential knowledge about various Microsoft products that can enhance teaching and learning.

The modules included topics such as:

  • Teach Forward: Best strategies for hybrid, remote, and blended learning

  • Accessibility: Building the foundation for inclusive learning

  • Empower Every Student: Creating an inclusive classroom

  • Getting Started with Microsoft Teams for Education

  • Flipped Instruction with PowerPoint Recorder

  • Getting Started with OneNote for Education

If I had to choose a favorite, it would definitely be OneNote. I believe it’s the best tool for creating a portfolio and workspace for students.

Investing in teachers' growth is key to improving student learning. Research shows that teacher quality has a greater impact on students than any school education program or policy. In fact, teacher effectiveness is one of the largest factors influencing student outcomes, aside from family background.
